Local storage does not mean an app never communicates with the network. Tuck keeps your saved library on the device while using external requests for previews, advertising, and purchase status where required.
What stays in the device database
URLs, titles, thumbnail URLs, authors, site names, collections, read state, and archive state are stored in SwiftData inside the iPhone App Group or in Room on Android. A Tuck-specific user account is not required.
When external communication occurs
To build a card, Tuck may request metadata from the destination site or a related preview service. The free tier uses Google AdMob, and purchases are managed through RevenueCat. Advertising data handling depends in part on consent choices and device settings.
Not cloud sync
Tuck does not automatically synchronize the saved library through a Tuck cloud account. Device moves use JSON export and restore. Review the official privacy policy for the full description of third-party services and data handling.
